Real Teeth!!

After 17 years I finally got what I ask for for Christmas!! MY TWO FRONT TEETH!!

When I was 9 years old I was in a trampoline accident with my friend Kaylin. It was a warm summer day so we decided to jump on the tramp with the sprinklers (Bad idea #1). There was my sister Brooke on my left, and Kaylin on my right (Bad idea #2, never be stuck in the middle). As the oscillating sprinkler came towards us Kaylin slipped and I fell on top of her knocking out my three front teeth. Just the force of us colliding cause one of my front teeth to be propelled forward while the other two simply dropped out on the tramp. I ran inside as fast as I could, and after LOTS of blood, freaking out, and frantic phone calls we got my teeth temporary set into place and Kaylin got 2 rows of 18 stitches in her head. (She got the easy side of the deal!) For the next several days my family searched and searched through every blade of grass to find the third missing tooth but we never found it.  So over the last 17 years I have had several root canals to save my teeth, braces to re straighten my teeth, been on hundreds of antibiotics to kill the infection attacking my teeth, bone grafts, gum grafts, and implants (twice) all just to satisfy my Christmas wish! But after all is said and done I can finally bite into a sandwich like a normal person! No more of this asking for a plastic knife where ever we go so that I can cut everything into bite size pieces first! Although I must say that after so many years of cutting everything and never using my front teeth, it is quiet the adjustment! Every meal Adam reminds me to use my front teeth. But just the thought that I am finally finished makes me one happy girl!!

Adam's new job

We have been wanting to move up to Davis County for sometime now, well maybe just I have been DYING to move back up to Davis County! Adam will be graduating from BYU this week which means that we are free to move where ever the job takes us. Adam has been applying for a few different positions within Zions Bank until he decides what he wants to be when he grows up. He applied for a few new accounts positions, a compliance position, and a loan position. Over the last week he has been driving back and forth going in for interviews and what not.

Last week, Adam drove up to West Valley for an interview for the Loan Specialist position. When he got there he asked the front desk for the lady with whom he would be interviewing but when she came out to meet him she was puzzled because she wasn't scheduled to have any interviews until the following day. She was gracious and let him interview for the position anyway. They talked for about 45 minutes or so about the position and then he was on his way. Well on the way home Adam recieved a phone call from the HR department to inquire why he didn't show up for the interview. Then it quickly became obvious that he had interviewed with the wrong person! So a second interview was set up for the following day. Well, you know how it goes at the end of the semester when all of the stress if finally lifted, the first thing that happens is you get sick! Adam didn't make it to the second interview because he was in bed with something not so pleasant. This time we figured the loan position was pretty much out of the question.

Well, on Monday HR called Adam again to set up another interview for this loan position. We were almost shocked they called back. He went to the interview Tuesday morning (and made sure he interviewed with the right person this time) then by Wednesday he was offered the position! Less than 24 hours after the "real" interview. We feel very blessed to have this new job, not to mention that it almost triples our income!! It is times like these that we know that the Lord is truely watching out for our family and knows what is best for us!
